
Our Story
New Horizons School is a top private elementary and middle school in Newark, CA. New Horizons School offers quality and affordable education. We strive to continue delivering the best practices of unique system for education that empowers students to become actively engaged in their learning.
Our program runs from Transitional Kindergarten (also known as Jr. K) for ages 4-5 through Grade 8. Our school hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
New Horizons School uses a unique system to enhance core subjects and to teach skills that encourage life long learning and higher level thinking called Workshop Way. Workshop Way is a system of growth designed to encourage students to take risks in the classroom and to provide students with the power to make decisions while learning. Reading and math are Individualized and our experienced and passionate educators use benchmarks and learning goals to achieve success in the classroom.
Our Students
The student population that New Horizons School serve are residents primarily in the Newark, Fremont, and Union City communities.
Parents that commute benefit from our 10 hours a day schedule and 12-month calendar that includes 2 months of Summer Program.
Our S.T.E.A.M. based learning includes Drama class, Art class, P.E. based fitness routine, Music/Dance classes, Project based learning and Field Trips. Our literacy program works to build skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing through individualized lessons.
New Horizons School open its doors to students for morning and after school care to serve our working parents with student programs such as homework help and extended education activities including robotics, chess clubs, sports, and academic clubs.
